EMPRO recently met with MEP’s along with European Commission officials and representatives from APPEAR at the “From Lab to Life” event held at the European Parliament. The aim of the event, organised by APPEAR, was to increase the awareness amongst MEP’s of European funded research and the potential impact on and benefits to European society. The EMPRO project was presented to attendees by Professor Charles Kelly and received encouraging feedback.

EMPRO was one of four projects selected to participate in the APPEAR project, a pilot communication action funded by the European Union as a Specific Support Action under the “Life sciences, genomics and biotechnology for health” priority of FP6, with a view to raising public perception of European medical research.
